Frightful Holiday in Playa del Carmen!
Halloween is becoming more and more popular throughout all of Mexico. This traditionally American holiday is intermingling with the the Mexican traditions of Day of the Dead making for almost a full week of costumes, parties, candy, and fun.
Kids and families were no exception in the parade, making this annual event not only a gathering of friends but also a perfect way for families to let all the fun and craziness out with creative costumes and parading on Playa del Carmen's famous 5th Avenue!
The parade is non-stop along the famous 5th Avenue for the days leading up to All Hallow’s Eve and on October 31st, this bustling pedestrian street is packed full of costumed children, adults and doggies. Take a peek at some of the amazing costumes from Halloween 2016 in Playa del Carmen.

The Halloween parade is getting a bigger crowd as well as participants every year and this is certainly due to the impressive increase and growth of the Playa del Carmen's population. Our little town by the beach is not only receiving more tourists every year but it is also becoming a much larger community where most of its residents are participating more and more in great cultural events, yet keeping the traditions of this region alive.
