ARE THERE GROCERY STORES IN AKUMAL?

Food is the basic need of our life. It is said that, “You can’t buy happiness hence you buy an ice-cream.” It is not humanely possible to go without food for long and if you are holidaying than the thought of it only is nightmarish. The gastronomical treasure of the Mexico Caribbean is divine. But hunger pangs might hit one anytime so it is advisable to keep stock with oneself. A traveler who has a ten day long stay planned at a condo in Akumal wants to know about the grocery facility available in the vicinity. • Soriana which is a decent and reasonable grocery in Akumal seems like a hit as it was suggested by many.
• In all there are three stores in Akumal. Two are right inside the arch, across the street from one another. The third is over the overpass and into Akumal Pueblo.
• It seemed like that the groceries in the Pueblo are cheaper.
• Chedraui, another option is located a little North (before Soriana) on the South end of Playa, but on the other side of the highway.
• Mega, Aki and DAC are good options if interested in stopping in Playa for shopping.
• Lunch truck facility is available in Akumal which serves delicious food at reasonable rates.

Food doesn’t seem like a trouble in Akumal as the groceries are well stocked. So be stocked to enjoy the wonderful views because a well fed stomach is a happy stomach.
