Food Truck Festival at Ciudad Mayakoba Draws Big Crowds
On Saturday, May 6th, some of the best food trucks from Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, and Cancun gathered along Juan Miguel Villar Mir Boulevard in Ciudad Mayakoba for an evening of delicious food, craft beers, and live music by local bands!
The first Food Truck Festival at Ciudad Mayakoba was a huge success drawing more than 1,000 people, including the team from BuyPlaya. The event organization was spot on and the outdoor jungle setting was spectacular with colorful food trucks and picnic tables lining the boulevard. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the space was plenty big enough to accommodate the large crowds of people, many of whom came from as far away as Cancun and Tulum.
A total of 14 food trucks took part in the festival, including Charly’s Vegan Tacos, El Andariego, El Tata, La Combi de María, La Poch, Las Calles León, Marquesitas, Pa Que Milos, Pez K-ito, Royal Aces Grill, Smokin Hot BBQ, Los Amorosos, Museum of Fun Ice Cream, and Mi Chula Coffee Bus. The Food Truck Festival also featured craft beers from four local breweries (Akumal, Pescadores, Patito, and Cancun) as well as several other craft beers from around Mexico.
What a fantastic evening! We were blown away by the first Food Truck Festival at Ciudad Mayakoba and we had an incredible time sampling a variety of delicious food and craft beers alongside friends, family, and people from the local community. We’ll see you at the next one!
