Inti Beach: A Unique Experience for the Body and Mind

Inti Beach: A Unique Experience for the Body and Mind

Along with a group of fellow bloggers and local Press, BuyPlaya was invited to experience the new facet of Inti Beach; a Holistic and Wellness Center, as well as a unique Beach Club. Inti and Aloha Paddle Club had organized for us, a perfect day that we often only dream of, but that is now available to anyone who wishes to experience a different kind of day at the beach. A place where you will find a wide range of services that encompasses all of your senses.

Not only do its new beach facilities, sun beds, lounge area on the sand, deck, roofed terrace, plus the sound of the sea and the gentle breeze propitiate relaxation, but Inti also offers an extensive range of services that rely on every sense of your body and mind; yoga classes, meditation, certified massage therapists, holistic therapies, etc.

We started our holistic day adventure with a delicious freshly made smoothie and a talk with Vico who introduced us to the spirit of Inti Beach and their collaboration with Aloha Paddle Club. But it was first with a yoga class given by one of Inti's yoga certified instructor, Patricia Ojeda, that we would start our unique "Inti experience".

You can contact Inti Beach through their official facebook page to find out more about their different type of classes, schedules, instructors, and special events. Here is a glimpse of what their schedule looks like:

After a relaxing, yet powerful yoga session, we were then lead to a dreamy scenery and one last relaxing activity before heading to the ocean and the Aloha boards. Massage tables on the beach, or massage tables above the sea with a perfect ocean breeze, we chose the second option and believe me...we did not regret it!

Right before lunch, and just after perfect relaxation moments, we were introduced to Sander Claassens, owner of the Aloha Paddle Club. The club welcomes everyday of the week and weekends, when the weather allows it, beginners, intermediate and advanced members as well as first timers and tourists to adventure into the Caribbean sea on a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP). I personally started stand up paddle boarding a little more than 6 months ago, and on my very first try, I was in love and became addicted to this amazing sport!

The alliance between Inti and Aloha Paddle Club could not be more perfect, two brands committed to the well-being and happiness of the people join together to bring more joy to the travelers and locals of Playa del Carmen.

Each instructor is properly trained to make every experience on the boards safe and fun. Before heading to the ocean, the instructors show the correct posture on the board, how to hold the oar, how to fall and the most important how to stand on the board again!

In the water, once the necessary explanations have been given, the instructors take the group to the sea. Adventure and fun begins! Outings to the water are not limited to paddling alone, there is also time for swimming, snorkeling on reefs, practicing some yoga poses and posing for the camera. 90 minutes of wholesome fun in the waters of the Caribbean Sea.

SUP Yoga: Aloha Paddle Club also offers yoga classes on the sea with certified instructors; for this activity it's always recommended that you book in advance.

To conclude a perfect day of pampering, Inti Beach introduced us to its healthy and fresh menu by Peruvian Chef Alan Banda Huatay and Doroteia de Faria from Brazil, that includes unique Peruvian style ceviches (with fish freshly caught from the ocean), vegetarian baguettes (made of home-made bread), classic guacamole with a special twist, only to name a few...

Inti Beach and Aloha Paddle Club not only offers you a different experience, but also allows you to push your limits, to discover your body through exercise, relaxation and meditation and to open your mind to new adventures.

Located in the heart of Playa del Carmen, on the beach between 4th and 6th streets, Inti and Aloha Paddle Club are happy to welcome you into their healthy environment. Add a healthy side to your vacation, or to your daily habits if you live here in paradise, and your body will thank you...and even ask for more!

*A special thank you to Margot Tovar DiƩguez and Vico Ojeda for being such great hosts and inviting us to experience a fabulous and unique day: We will come back!
