KKIS to Host 7th Annual Auction & Dinner
On March 1, 2018, The KKIS Project will host its 7th Annual Auction & Dinner with the goal of providing school supplies to 3,000 students and 50 high school scholarships.
The KKIS Project is a registered Mexican nonprofit and a US 501c3 organization whose mission, since 2011, has been to provide the children of Playa del Carmen opportunities to progress through school with the tools that will help them succeed in this community.
KKIS provides school supplies to students in underprivileged neighborhoods, scholarships and mentors to talented but economically disadvantaged high school students, and volunteers to teach English in public high schools. KKIS envisions a future where every student graduates from high school and where educational challenge is inspiring and fun.
The organization works to motivate and assist public school administrators, teachers, students and parents through five programs that provide financial assistance, connections and support. The five KKIS Project programs are Supplies for Success, School Advocacy, Conversation Clubs, Scholarships and Mentors, and Connections. You can find out more about the programs here.
You can help support KKIS and the great work they’re doing by attending the 7th Annual Auction & Dinner at La Vagabunda Fiesta on Thursday, March 1, 2018; by participating in the online auction (going on now!); or simply by making a donation.
Some of the many fantastic items that will be auctioned off include pub crawl certificates and passes to play golf at Mayakoba or The Hard Rock, as well as activities like parasailing, scuba diving, deep sea fishing and paddle boarding. No one will go home empty-handed!
Tickets are $30 USD per person until February 23, $35 USD thereafter, and include dinner and live music. To purchase tickets or register for the online auction visit www.kkisauction.com
