Outstanding Night of Wine, Food and Music at The Plaza!
We have been fans of the beautiful “The Fives Plaza” since its opening a couple of years ago. An impressive space of more than 4000 square meters, the plaza not only hosts some of the best events in town, but also is home to amazing foodies gems such as Koh Thai (Thai restaurant), Oka Sushi Bar, Cantina 1910, La Brasserie and The Ginbar. All of these delightful restaurants and bars are open to the general public with previous reservation.
The Fives Plaza presented its Wine Fest third edition last week, and it was once again, a total success! More than 60 exhibitors such as Casa Madero, Chandon, El Cielo, Jackson Family Wines, Roganto, Santo Tomas, Vinopolis, Off the Vine and Viparmex, just to name a few, gathered at the Plaza and offered their amazing variety of wines to the delight of local residents and tourists attending the event.
A panoply of canapes were served among guests and a few food stands were displayed here and there to allow wine lovers to savor the best wines paired with just the right food combination.
Franco Salzillo, head sommelier of The Fives Azul Beach Resort, who is also a renowned and respected sommelier in the Riviera Maya, magnificently orchestrated the event in order to present in the most professional way, some of the best wines available in our region.
Music also played an important part in this year’s festival. The amazing Juan D’Anyelica and his band performed on the rooftop of the GinBar, allowing attendees to watch the performance and dance as if they were on a big stage in a live outdoor concert.
We eagerly await the next amazing event at The Fives Plaza, an elegant venue surrounded by water, jungle, cenotes that keeps seducing us time after time! We are thankful and grateful that The Fives Plaza continues to include the local community in their special events and welcome us to enjoy their world class restaurants and bars.
