Get Ready to Run: The Bravest Race Volcano
The coolest race in the Riviera Maya is BACK!
Each year, Xplor park hosts a thrilling 5k mud-run-style race through its gorgeous grounds: The Bravest Race. On September 18, 2016, you’ll get to run through the jungle, swim through caves, traverse daring obstacles and overcome many other challenges in one of the region’s most incredible locations. This year, The Bravest Race will feature a volcano theme, challenging racers to face the simulated horrors of a volcano eruption in the jungle. Runners are equipped with Brave Flags attached to their waist, and the “Running Lava” will periodically come after you; the goal is to reach the finish line without losing all of your Brave Flags.
Xplor says, “Amidst the Mayan jungle a volcano has become active. You’ll have to dodge incandescent rocks, volcanic ash and flames that block your path. But beware! On the way you will encounter the Running Lava trying to strip you of your Brave Flags. Run, climb, get muddy, jump, crawl and swim to reach safety on the other side of the island, away from the fire with as many flags as you can.”
