This past Saturday, the Puerto Morelos Market held its first market of the 2017-2018 season and for many expats (myself included), it was a wonderful way to do a little Small Business Saturday shopping on a bright, sunshiny Thanksgiving weekend in the Riviera Maya.
With a fantastic location right on the beach at My Paradise Beach Club, the Puerto Morelos Market supports a thriving community of local independent artists and small businesses who make and sell all kinds of homemade and handmade products and health-conscious cuisine. The market features more than 50 local vendors selling crafts, artwork, jewelry, items for the home, and more; making it a great spot for expats to meet like-minded people and discover new local products.

And it all takes place right out on the sand at My Paradise Beach Club located within easy walking distance of the Puerto Morelos town center in Mexico's Riviera Maya.
In addition to helping support the local economy, the Puerto Morelos Market is also helping raise funds for the mexiCAN Compassion Project, a local nonprofit organization that provides spaying and neutering programs for the community of Puerto Morelos.
The Puerto Morelos Market hosts several events each year during high season. Upcoming markets are scheduled for December 9 & 23, 2017 and January 6 & 20, 2018.
