Yachts, Fireworks and Jazz in Cancun

Kick off the holiday season with an evening of sailing, fireworks and live jazz music right on Cancun's Nichupte Lagoon at the Sunset Boat Parade 2017 hosted by Sunset World. Now in its 6th year, this wonderful all-ages event has become a Christmas tradition in Cancun.

Each year, some of the city’s most beautiful yachts get decorated in colorful holiday lights and sail along the coast of Cancun. The Sunset Boat Parade also features a spectacular fireworks display, and for the first time in 2017, a live jazz concert. The general public is invited to watch the boat parade, fireworks, and concert from the Jardin del Arte at km 4.5 in the Cancun Hotel Zone.

And the best part: the viewing event is always free!

This year's Sunset Boat Parade takes place on Saturday, December 16th from 6 pm to 9 pm and the schedule of events is as follows:

6:20 pm First pass of parade

6:45 pm Second pass of parade

7:00 pm Variety of contests

7:30 pm Jazz concert begins

8:40 pm Fireworks

The boat parade departs from and arrives to the Sunset Admiral Yacht Club & Marina, passing by the Jardin del Arte twice.

If you’re going to be in Cancun or the Riviera Maya this Christmas season, don’t miss your chance to join Sunset World for their annual Sunset Boat Parade!
