Now in its 13th year, the Riviera Maya's most immense and famous Day of the Dead celebration is returning to Xcaret. Each night, the park will be filled with candles, catrina skeletons and marigolds to welcome the living and the deceased, boasting a seemingly endless itinerary of activities for all ages. Enjoy folkloric dances, all kinds of cultural theater for kids and grownups, horse show, theatrical jungle tours, puppet shows, painting, photography, the Mayan ball game, traditional Day of the Dead altars made by regional villages, a walk through the Mexican cemetery, a special kids area with workshops and storytime, and of course incredible cuisine from the Yucatan Peninsula. Pricing for locals: Anyone with residency in the Yucatan Peninsula (states of Quintana Roo, Yucatan and Campeche) have access to an evening-only pass with discounted local pricing. Click here to see details on what your admission does and does not include. Don't forget to bring your ID to prove local residency!

Pricing for non-locals: If you do not have a local residency ID, you will have to purchase a full-day ticket to Xcaret. Click here for all the pricing information.

Transportation: ADO buses will be providing transportation to and from the festival (at an affordable extra cost), leaving from Cancun as well as Playa del Carmen. We highly recommend this option because parking at the festival can be challenging. They are offering numerous and frequent departure and return times, making it easy to get home no matter what time you leave the event.
