Open House: A Puerto Morelos Food Fest & Feast!

Puerto Morelos is a quaint little fishing village located approximately 35 km north of Playa del Carmen. Most of us who have been living in the area for many years have been to this charming small town wether it's for a change of scenery, to go snorkeling, to visit the numerous and spectacular cenotes on the Ruta de los cenotes, or if you are foodies like we are....: to try to discover PM's food gems. In our case, we would often go to the same places over and over again, as we did not know the culinary scene as much as we know it in Playa.

I have good news....! An absolutely exquisite event is in the making, that will finally give us all, the opportunity to discover the wonderful gastronomy and variety of food gems that Puerto Morelos has to offer! This February 15th from 6pm to 1am, The Fives Oceanfront will be hosting its very first Open House event: 10 Puerto Morelos restaurants will be presenting their signature dishes during the evening, on the beach, with live music, an international open bar, and a mixology show & tastings, all for only 990 pesos in pre sale, or 1,200 pesos at regular price.

Are you wondering which restaurants are part of the 10 that will be featuring their delicacies? Here they are: Al Mare, Boquinete, Don Mexkal, El Charro, El Inicio, La Choza, Mem Al Mare, Veggie Veggie, Matea, and Osteria Barocca. If you are as excited as we are about this spectacular and wonderful event hosted by The Fives, we will for sure see you on February 15th! The fact that so many restaurants are participating in this culinary event, is on its own something brilliant and fantastic for the whole community and for the neighboring communities as well. We also give The Fives another thumbs up (we have given them many through the years for the events they host), to always go out their way to include the community and local restaurants, producers, wine makers, local musicians, etc. It doesn't happen very often that a hotel invites their guests to venture out to local restaurants other than their own, and for that we raise our glasses to them!
